Overview:
In this role the Senior Lead Engineer will actively work in the areas of design and development of Nacelle structures.
Position: Senior Lead Engineer (P3) - Mechanical Design
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages the product design and development projects from Architecture to Detail design phase.
- Willingness to Subject matter experts on Product development.
- Oversees comprehensive project requirements, ensures team coordination, manages risks, and maintains reliability for large-scale or complex projects.
- Strong holistically approach in solving manufacturing and field challenges.
- Research evaluates and recommends changes in technology, procedures, systems to improve the quality of the products and services.
- Drives Process maturity for applicable CORE processes.
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals
- Engages in technical working groups and initiatives, both within the organization and with external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree/Ph.d in mechanical engineering or aerospace or automobiles.
- 8 - 12 years of Industry experience in Product development, Integration and Research & Technology
Preferred Skills:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in product development from architecture to detail design phase.
- Technically managed moderate sized projects/Program with complete Lifecyle.
- Hands-on experience in maturing the product with technological improvements.
- Strong in understanding the Technical, Customer and Certification requirements.
- Subject Matter expert on GD&T, Tolerance Stack up, Material Selection.
- Hands-on experience in driving trade studies, concluding and along implementation of the change to the product.
- Good Understanding on developing the Thermoset/Thermoplastic layout with Manufacturing knowledge is preferred.
- Strong preparing the technical concept or business case for product improvement.
- Strong in Manufacturing and process techniques to produce optimized methods of metallic components.
- Hands-on experience in CAD Tools (CATIA) and PLM(Teamcenter) and Enovia.
- Good understanding of AI/ML to include in Engineering process, methods.
- It will be an added advantage if they have experience on Nacelle product design.
