PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support a leading aerospace client’s product development initiatives. This role is ideal for experienced engineers with a strong background in NX, Teamcenter, and ASME Y14.5 standards, ready to contribute to innovative propulsion and auxiliary power unit (APU) designs.

Your Role and Impact
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be part of a highly integrated engineering team focused on designing and developing aerospace products and systems. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to create solutions that meet evolving customer needs, from concept through detailed design and manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

Design and develop aerospace products using CAD-based modeling (NX).
Apply ASME Y14.5 standards for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex design challenges.
Conduct engineering analysis and weight optimization.
Support design for manufacturing and cost estimation.
Present product concepts and incorporate customer feedback.
Participate in all phases of product development, from conceptual to detailed design.

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
6+ years of mechanical design experience using NX and Teamcenter.
Proven experience in engine or APU design.
Strong understanding and application of ASME Y14.5 standards.
Ability to generate and check engineering drawings with GD&T.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in composite design.
Background in conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Initiative and ownership in solving engineering problems.

Pay Details: $58.17 per hour
