We are looking for an experienced systems engineer that specializes in the controls domain, specifically in the precision pointing aspect of the control systems technology. Details of the skillset needed for this position include deriving the system capabilities to conduct the analysis and development of control algorithms to meet microradian level jitter performance. Critical skills include expertise in Simulink modeling tools using both time domain non-linear modeling and frequency domain analysis tools. Strong experience in developing classical control solutions using frequency domain analysis. Additional desirable experience includes familiarity with State Space systems and manipulation of linearized response models in support of evaluation of mechanical finite element model outputs in eigenvector format and their incorporation into Simulink time domain models. Candidate should also be familiar with Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) technology, Inertial Navigation Systems, encoders, resolvers and motors. Candidate should also be familiar with swept sine response evaluations and vibration testing for model validation. Candidate must act in a multidisciplinary role interfacing with optical, mechanical, software and systems engineers.
BAE Systems will staff this role in our Nashua, New Hampshire facility. At BAE Systems, cultural and behavioral principles are a special part of our engineering organization, which means we are looking for team players who have demonstrated experience working successfully in a group setting.
