Position Summary


We are looking to add a new team member to our Focal Plane Array (FPA) team to help provide the vision and technical expertise necessary to drive our development activities needed to lead the industry in product capability and manufacturability. We are seeking an engineer with experience in technical project management to lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives as we push our processing technology and manufacturability to meet tomorrow’s program challenges. In this role, the successful candidate will also influence iterative improvements to data collection systems, enabling stronger data analysis capability for studying yield and process improvement opportunities.


Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Bachelors Degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience (electrical, material science or physics) or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, programing, testing, processing, software, and robotics
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of device physics and working knowledge of semiconductor processing, circuit designing, and testing
  • Familiarity with failure analysis tools and techniques
  • Data extraction and analysis skills using software packages to investigate trends and observations, then summarize findings (ex. Cornerstone, JMP, Spotfire, Minitab, etc.) 
  • Experience using Matlab
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders and prepare project plans, reports and documentation
  • Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams to improve yields, solve problems and implement corrective actions
  • Knowledge of infrared technology and materials

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of semiconductor processing or semiconductor products/devices
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed
  • Compile and evaluate product design and test data
  • Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products
  • Support Root Cause Analysis and Cost Reduction projects in line with vision and goals of the team
  • Complete project actions, document results and write reports
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • May prepare complicated plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of Production operations
  • Responsibilities are diverse in scope where analysis of situations or data requires sound judgment 
  • General guidance given on new assignments as needed
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned
