V2X is seeking a Quality Engineer Manager (QEM) at our Indianapolis, IN location. The QEM will provide in-depth knowledge of Quality Management System requirements. The QEM monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reports on performance and measures against set standards, implementing corrective actions and charting paths for improvement. They will lead a team of experienced Quality Engineers and Inspectors. Sets objectives and guides the team on the achievement of short-term Quality Assurance goals. Manages the implementation of Quality Assurance plans and procedures. The QEM will help develop and monitor quality metrics, develop objective evidence to support customer deliverables.

The QEM interacts with personnel at all levels, including customers and leadership to ensure that the quality system is functioning properly.

This role requires onsite presence.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years in management of Quality Assurance/Engineering or related experience.
  • Must have experience implementing and working with Quality Management System requirements in Government contracting such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, & AS9110.
  • Manage a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors/Technicians interfacing between their responsibilities and work scope, engaging in performance discussion and evaluations, and ensuring all staffing demands are adequately met.
  • Be proactive in planning and reactive in adjusting to demands.
  • Support coordinating with program personnel and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
  • Assure product quality and effectiveness throughout all life-cycle phases.
  • Oversee development and approval of bid proposal estimates for Quality.
  • Experience in Six Sigma and/or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Excellent decision-making and methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others toward continuous improvement and shared success in order to meet strategic goals.
Desired Skills:

  • Certification in Six Sigma and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Working experience with Government-Industry Exchange Program (GIDEP).
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Working experience using metrics to drive action and achieve results.
