This role focuses on mainframe software application development for the travel, airline, and reservation industry. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will leverage your expertise in IBM zTPF systems to support Delta’s core operational hub and contribute to ongoing transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of TPF applications.Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, resolving issues promptly.Facilitate complex application performance tests for successful outcomes.Provide application teams with data analysis and analytics following performance testing.Focus on supporting a wide variety of test systems and test platforms.Automate complex test system initializations and facilitate application teams testing requirements.Monitor test system health and triage system level issues along with application dumps.Translate business requirements into technical designs and implement solutions.Code, test, and implement software changes using Assembly, C++, and Sabretalk programming languages.Perform the full software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Delta standards.Support users with test tools, diagnose issues quickly, and implement workarounds while awaiting fixes.Conduct quality checks on implementations presented for RFCs and assist with TPF changes as required.Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) 5+ years of experience in TPF Airline Reservations and/or TPF Airline Operations application development.Proficiency in Assembly, C++, and Sabretalk programming languages.Strong knowledge of TPFDF and ZTPFGI/test/debug environments.Ability to transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions.Experience with error/dump analysis and troubleshooting complex systems.Familiarity with Delta’s TPF test environments and IT landscape.Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work across multiple projects.High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Embraces diversity and prioritizes safety and security.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal dataEmbraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
