Airbus Robotics is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering department based in Mukilteo, WA.

Meet the team:

You will be part of a team that designs, manufactures, and installs automated assembly and control systems for research and industrial manufacturing applications in the aerospace industry. The SE will work with electromechanical processes and equipment that perform software-programmed tasks in manufacturing environments.  The SE will design, implement, and test Airbus Robotics’ “Serenity” web-based system integration software and user interface. The SE will also work with the Embedded Software Engineers and Systems Engineering team developing software-driven electromechanical equipment to ensure proper functionality. Our tools are used in the direct manufacture of large-scale aerospace structures.

Your challenges:

  • Develop medium and high-level software in a mixed computing environment with an emphasis on three arenas: 1) full stack development 2) security and access control, and 3) data management.
  • Full stack development of both server and browser aspects with ownership over a variety of technologies
  • Improve existing software based on requirements and requests from customers and colleagues.
  • Assist in the design process of new systems and architectures and inform the development of better programming practices and procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that may cross over into other domains including the embedded Linux supervisory software, external software modules, IT, networking, custom and standard communication protocols, PLC systems and electrical.


Your boarding pass:

  • Seven or more years of experience with a bachelor’s degree. Five or more years of experience with a master’s degree. Three or more years of experience with a PhD.
  • The ability to work independently to achieve required goals with minimal oversight and provide accurate estimates of work effort to accomplish a well-defined task.
  • Full stack development experience working with both browser and server.
  • Serenity developers: comfort programming in JavaScript.  Experience programming with Typescript, Json, React and Node.js. Optional AngularJS experience.
  • Strong usability design sense for UI screens or Web APIs. Experience in UI/UX design best practices is also desired.

Salary range based on experience: $135,000-$174,000/year.
