Lockheed Martin Spaces Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Cape Canaveral, FL!

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

• Support the design and construction of facility projects.
• Exercise technical authority for the design, analysis,
planning, integration and completion of assigned facility projects to include major facility modifications and construction projects.
• Develop and review engineering data packages including drawings, specifications, calculations, testing/acceptance procedures and cost estimates.
• Support engineering design reviews ensuring compliance with engineering principles, International Building Codes (IBC), Unified Facility Criteria (UFC), Lockheed Martin standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college
- Experience reviewing and designing Civil and/or Structural engineering packages
- Experience analyzing load capacities for slab on grade and/or steel construction
- US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with the military construction (MILCON) process
- Licensure in Structural or Civil Engineering (FE/PE)
- Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) Programs and facilities for missile processing
- Experience with the design and analysis of cranes, reinforced concrete, steel frame structures and/or asphalt transportation routes (roads)
- Experience developing construction cost estimates
- General knowledge and understanding of related codes e.g. ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, AASHTO and Unified Facility Criteria.
- Experience with design and analysis software (STAAD-Pro, RISA-3D, AutoCAD, REVIT, Autodesk)
- Experience in the execution of engineering projects from concept to completion
- Experience translating technical requirements into facility designs

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
