As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a global team that will create high quality products that meet rigid safety and airworthiness standards for flight.
This Sr. Systems Engineering role within the DAS/FM department of the Avionics business unit will be focused on delivering advanced display solutions to a global customer base, primarily within military spanets. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, cross-functional development teams, and program management, giving you exposure to a wide range of engineering challenges and growth opportunities.

What You Will Do:
- Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace System requirements
- Develop innovative design approaches that meet customer requirements, cost targets, and product line objectives.
- Design requirements, software, and test verification, depending on program need.
- Support teams of software and systems engineers to develop, integrate and release displays software products.
- Plan team level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals
- Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects
- Support teams of software and systems engineers to develop, integrate and release displays software products.
- Interact with a cross-functional team of (including, but not limited to) Engineers, Engineering leaders, Program Managers, Finance, Quality, and Production
- Willingness to travel (domestic and international <10).

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience in a systems/software engineering role.
- Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving requirements
- Familiarity with Python scripting.

- Scrum Master or Product Owner Experience
- Earned Value Management Experience
- Python, ADA or MATLAB Simulink Experience
- Avionics Experience (development or usage)
- Software Development or Testing Experience
- DO-178 (or similar) certification-based development experience

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
