Lockheed Martin needs extraordinary people who are passionate about working on cutting-edge design or technology. The selected candidate will be a technical staff member for laboratory software development within the LM Aeronautics Simulation and System Test (SST) Team, involved in the design, develop and integrate low-to-medium fidelity models (such as aircraft weapon, sensor, environment and threat models); real-time simulation and/or infrastructure software in support of simulation and system integration labs in various high order software languages (C++, Ada, Java, etc..).

This position is for a Software Engineer Senior to perform software development on the F-35 SILs, F-22 SILs and/or ADP team. The team builds various F-35/F-22 man-in-the-loop simulation products which combines simulation executive software, middleware, third-party vendor models, internally developed models, and tools.

The initial assignment entails developing and integrating real-time simulation software applications for the F-35 SILs, F-22 SILs and/or ADP team. Assignments may change over time as required by the organization.

The Simulation and System Test team is a highly innovative organization, responsible for developing and maintaining manned aircraft weapon simulation systems utilized for weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within our organization resides an extensive selection of simulators and software/systems integration test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues. We build these products for the F-35, F-22, F-16, C-130J, C-5, and other aircraft platforms. Our products are used to advance weapon systems development, strengthen pilot familiarization, assess human factors, evaluate aircraft control laws, improve mission study effectiveness, provide test capabilities required for contract verification and provide integration testing and verification capabilities for aircraft systems and software.
