Summary:
Lead the design, documentation, and deployment of AI algorithms and models using industry-standard methods and tools.
Ensure AI model development considers ethical implications, data integrity, and bias mitigation.
Guide a small technical team to meet milestones and deliver high-quality AI-enabled software solutions.
Collect, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, ensure data reliability, and enhance model accuracy.
Train, evaluate, and optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
Conduct Safety Risk Management processes for AI models in accordance with organizational standards.
Monitor and improve deployed AI systems to ensure ongoing performance and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and CI/CD groups, to integrate AI into software development and testing.
Research and implement emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and regulatory standards.
Communicate technical progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to leadership.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree and typically 7+ years of related software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination (PhD + 3 years, Masters + 5 years).
Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or modern programming languages.
Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and automated testing tools (e.g., Google Test, PyTest).
Strong understanding of data preprocessing, model optimization, and AI system integration.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and workflow automation.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
