Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Software Engineer - Early Career. In this role, you will join our Military Operations Analysis team. The team is seeking an intern candidate who can apply engineering-based techniques, analytical methods, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making and quantify value proposition for advanced concepts and technology applications. We need a candidate who is passionate about working on cutting-edge design concepts; desires to think strategically and creatively utilizing analytical and engineering problem solving skills; and thrives in a high-performing team environment. Collaborating with a team of analysts, the selected candidate will be learning how to perform modeling and analysis of military systems and operations. The candidate will perform analysis to quantify the impact of operational concepts, air vehicle design, payloads, and tactics; in support of requirements definition, operational and cost-effectiveness studies, and military utility assessment. Responsibilities will include researching and modeling military systems performance and operations; developing analytical methods and tools to facilitate analyses; executing trade studies; performing data analytics &statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related
-Python or C++ experience

- Experience improving software performance and debugging software
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
