The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) is looking for world class talent in Software Engineering to be a part of a team that will carry on our 75 plus year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

Your Impact

As a Skunk Works Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and integration of Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) display software. You will be involved in the design and implementation of a graphics software framework. In particular, you will focus on the design and development of the core graphics engine used within display software to drive a GPU and generate visuals.

You will be part of a high-performing multi-site, multi-program team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. You will work in one of our multi-discipline Agile scrum teams, performing software development in a Dev*Ops environment to build modern software solutions to meet customer needs. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required.

Experience with developing C++ and OpenGL/Vulkan software for embedded systems is required. Experience with developing graphical user interfaces, Dev*Ops, and Agile processes and tools is highly desired. Experience with integrating software with embedded hardware is highly desired. Experience with embedded architectures, and hardware and software in the loop implementation and testing is a plus.

The successful candidate will need to pass a security screening before interview.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with developing graphics software using OpenGL and/or Vulkan is required.

• Experience with developing C/C++ software for embedded systems (including Linux) is required.

• Bachelors degree or above in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Other Engineering degrees considered with significant engineering software development experience.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
