In your role as a Software Engineer II within Honeywell ES-ET (Electronic Solutions/Electronic Test Solutions), you will support the End Item Test group in delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Working under limited supervision, you will collaborate with some of the worlds most talented engineers to contribute to the development of Honeywells next-generation products. From designing and testing to validating products/processes, you will play a crucial role in bringing prototypes to market. As a mentor to junior engineers, you will provide expertise and guidance to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs. Additionally, you will interact with internal and external customers to ensure products meet their specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Plan and execute project tasks, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
•Develop software solutions using C/C++ programming languages and other relevant technologies.
•Collaborate with HTS (Honeywell Technology Solutions) resources on software support and troubleshooting.
•Present project updates and technical information to leadership and external customers
•Validate software releases through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
•Communicate non-compliance incidents and work towards resolution and prevention.
•Establish and follow software development methodologies and best practices.
•Propose technical improvements and innovative solutions to advance projects.
•Suggest enhancements to existing software systems to improve performance and reliability.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE:
•Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
•5+ years of direct software development experience in C/C++

WE VALUE:
•Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology
•Experience with Python, MOPS, TCAS, HASS Implementation, Configuration Matrix, NI Lab Windows, NI Test Stand, NI Lab View, and Documentation Work - Procedures for SW/LRUs
•Proficiency in MS Visual Basic and MS Office
•Deep understanding of electrical engineering standards and specifications
•Capability to complete demanding assignments using advanced electrical engineering methods and tools
•Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions
•Ability to make timely decisions and balance systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
•Clear and concise communication skills to convey subtle or complex messages to various audiences
•Capability to follow guidelines and ensure efficiency on given project tasks
