Software Engineer
Why This is an Exciting Role:
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a Software Engineer to join the development team that provides application development and support to a tool that provides disseminatable data to be conveyed at the absolute first point of relevance allowing mission analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment. Leads development of solutions to unprecedented and complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Directs development of verification test plans and procedures. Explores the enterprise and industry for state-of-the-art methods, tools and processes applicable to software evaluation and test. Leads integration of new tools, processes, etc. to improve productivity. Resolves complex embedded software and software verifications issues that span functional domains, programs and business units. Advises management on a wide range of high leverage embedded software and software verifications issues. Works independently.
- Work with a team of developers supporting and enhancing a suite of complex web applications and services that provide content management and collaboration in support of critical missions.
- Analyze and manage requirements and external dependencies, update product roadmap, and supervise development in a Kanban-based process.
- Improve software and system architecture for improved efficiency and reliability.
- Provide after hours, on-call Tier III support as needed, in coordination with organizations providing Tier I and Tier II support.
- Document and update data models, schemas, APIs, and other technical specifications as needed.
- Provide subject matter expertise to address technical questions from users. Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)
- Some contact with technical government personnel but no direct user contact
- Product support analysts at the agency, IC, and other party affiliations

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years related
work experience, Master+18 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with consuming and writing web services
- Experience with generating technical documentation
- Experience with writing Linux based scripts for code integration and cron jobs using Bourne Shell, C, or Python and work in a command line environment
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience managing software code using Git & MAVEN
- Experience using with Jira and Confluence
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical experience with:
- Java
- Spring
- JavaScript
- NodeJS
- jQuery
- Angular 2+
- MongoDB
- Manager Elastic Stack
- Data Management - CDS Dataflows, Apply Patches, respond to IAVAs
- 20+ years experience with:
- Development of software solutions by analyzing system performance standards
- Assisting with development and execution of test procedures for software components
- Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software
- Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to one of more teams and monitoring their performance
- Writing or reviewing software systems documentation

Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$153,000 - $235,000
