In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Summary:
Leads highly complex or enterprise critical Business Intelligence projects that require a diverse array of programming expertise. Is responsible for leading application analysis, design, development, integration, and enhancement. Daily responsibilities include leading multiple, concurrent projects and/or support efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Performs installation, functional and performance testing, maintenance, and modification of vendor supplied software.
•Demonstrates project management skills and may serve as a lead on IT projects.
•Resolves highly complex computer security issues by designing, developing, and implementing innovative technical solutions.
•Provides technical leadership both inside and outside their areas of responsibility while looking for ways to apply the latest technologies for improvements to software and organizational effectiveness.
•Participates in planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure. Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to assure all systems are in line with the long-term IT strategy.
•Identifies enterprise information systems opportunities that align with corporate strategy and performance.
•Proactively analyzes existing applications to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements. May oversee or lead the evaluation and selection process for application packages.
•Provides buy vs. build recommendations, including advising on system options, risks, return on investment (ROI), and impact to business processes.
•Identifies system requirements, develops application specifications, leads conversion and migration efforts, and develops convergence plans toward standards.


You Must Have:
•Five or more years of direct work experience.
•Bachelors degree, certification or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree and certification.
•US citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance.

We Value:
•6+ years combined experience coding in (Python,R, SQL, Spark, Java, Scala, C/C/C++ ).
•3+ years experience with HDFS, Hive, SQOOP, NiFi, Cloudera, Splunk.
•Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
•Technical expertise with languages: SQL, Python, R, Java, Spark, Scala.
•Technical expertise in Business Intelligence: MicroStrategy preferred, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, other.
•Technical expertise in Data Science/Data Engineering (7+ medium to complex projects: Dataiku Preferred, Databricks, Jupyter, Zeppelin, etc.)
•Subject Matter expertise in Manufacturing, Government/DOE, Supply Chain, Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, Data Warehousing, Big Data, Security, Semantic Layer, Visualization, Agile, Git, Security Policy
