Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with CWL and MTWS engineering teams to support system integration and testing activities
- Define, document, analyze, execute, and interpret verification and validation (V&V) test events
- Develop and execute detailed test procedures and test cases
- Identify, analyze, and document software, firmware, and hardware defects, partnering with engineers to resolve issues
- Utilize electrical measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) to support troubleshooting and validation
- Perform system installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical and combat systems
- Configure laboratory environments using drawings, port maps, and system documentation
- Support formal and informal customer test events, including government and partner lab testing
- Provide regular status updates while operating with a high level of independent technical judgment
- Support the Logistics team with installation and operational procedure development
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or Technology degree in Engineering or related technical field
- OR 4 years of relevant job-related experience in lieu of degree
- Security Clearance
- Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire
- Experience
- 2+ additional years of relevant engineering or test experience
- OR Master’s degree in a related field
- Technical Expertise (Must Have One)
- Experience with at least one of the following submarine systems:
- AN/BLQ-10
- AN/BYG-1
- AN/BQQ-10
- Submarine Weapon Launchers
- Technical Skills
- Test engineering principles, concepts, and methodologies
- Software testing and analysis
- Object-oriented programming concepts
- Scripting languages and system processes
- General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Use of electrical test and measurement tools
- Additional Requirements
- Navy or Submarine experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- Intermittent travel to government labs, partner facilities, and submarine home ports (domestic and international)
