We are looking for you to join our team as an I&T Systems Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD.  As part of the Systems Engineering Integration & Test functional homeroom, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting system-level hardware DVT & ATP scripting & testing.

What You’ll get to Do:

We are looking for a 1st shift Receiver Exciter Integration and Test Systems Engineer. These responsibilities will include:

• Operate REX bench and execute test procedures for ATP and DVT
• Develop new test cases and troubleshoot existing hardware controls
• Evaluate Hardware performance
• Create analysis tools primarily in MATLAB and C
• Generate documentation of I&T processes and procedures
• Troubleshooting hardware failures
• Effective communication with team leadership and multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally and external team members
• Ability to communicate test failures and support troubleshooting effort
• Interface with hardware and systems engineers in support of troubleshooting and verification.
• Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8 years of engineering experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields OR a Masters degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6 years of engineering experience OR a PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4 years of engineering experience
• Experience with RF Hardware and test equipment
• Knowledge and experience with systems hardware
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware integration issues
• Familiarity with executing MATLAB scripts
• Troubleshooting system hardware and software configurations
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance is required
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Baltimore, MD

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing and running MATLAB scripts in MATE (MATLAB Automated Test Environment).
• Experience executing formal test procedures in a lab environment

This position is contingent upon clearance and special program access.

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
