Senior Quality Inspector job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Aerospace & Defense company. In this job you will inspect parts and materials for compliance to specified requirements and perform real-time defect evaluation. This will require the preparation of QA documentation along with the verification of corrective action implementation and rework.
Responsibilities:
Inspect parts, materials, and assemblies to verify compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Perform real-time defect detection and evaluation, including identification, documentation, and disposition of non-conformances.
Document inspection results, generate QA reports, and support corrective action verification and rework processes.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and internal customers to ensure quality objectives are met.
Interpret and apply inspection criteria per J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and other applicable standards.
May utilize X-ray inspection systems or advanced visual inspection tools for defect analysis.
Utilize and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and GD&T specifications during inspection.
Maintain inspection documentation, process history, and file management in accordance with quality system requirements.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
2+ years of directly related experience in quality inspection or manufacturing QA.
Working knowledge of J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 (certifications may be required).
Familiarity with CAD tools (Pro-E/Creo or SolidWorks) and ability to interpret technical drawings.
Solid understanding of ASME Y14.5M, GD&T, and basic mechanical stress principles (structural, thermal, tolerance).
Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Must be able to work on-site in a production or pre-production environment.
