As the Site Lead of the Structural Test Labs within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company located in Palmdale, CA, the selected candidate will lead a team of structural test engineers in support full scale and component level structural testing. The test team is made up of Mechanical, Aeronautical and Electrical Engineers and executes engineering tasks in support of Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Program (ADP) Line of Business.

The Site Lead is responsible for site technical and management leadership including:

• Establishing and coordinating processes, plans, and procedures necessary to provide timely, accurate, and focused engineering test support to the Programs

• Developing and executing workforce staffing plans and strategies

• Providing performance management input for team members

• Leading the team to deliver positive experiences for members and customers

• Identifying employees for recognizing and rewarding behaviors and actions that lead to positive business results

• Creating, supporting, and rewarding an agile team environment that enables innovation, and inclusion

A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

This position is in Palmdale, CA  Discover Palmdale.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred

• Experience leading large scale structural test with structural, hydraulic and pneumatic electromechanical systems

• Experience working in the aerospace industry in a flight test or ground test environment

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD clearance
AND the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program access per business requirements

• Management or significant Lead experience

• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
