Job Description:

JOB TITLE: Senior System Engineer

LOCATION: Dallas, TX (hybrid role, may work from home)

DUTIES: Responsible for vendor management, partner governance, and oversight to deploy systems; Monitor and test performance and capacity for potential bottlenecks, identify solutions, and work with partners to implement fixes; Identify problems, plan solutions, recommend software and systems, and coordinate development to meet business requirements; Provide innovative solutions to ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability to resolve escalations or high complexity; Responsible for tomcat/tcServer development and administration, and administration of JMX and other tools; Provide technical development, mentoring, and guidance; Implement technologies NodeJS, Python, Java, and Shell scripting to implement automation within Middleware; Responsible for Certificate Management and mentoring on the security compliance in certificate domain, including trustors, JKS, PKI, CA, Cert, and SSL; Drive advanced and new technical activities; Work as the single Point of Contact for advanced project work from scratch till production implementation; Work with security team to perform PCI compliance, remediate security, SSL, and TLS guidelines/vulnerabilities using middleware technologies; In collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, set the platform strategy and roadmap, and identify opportunities to adopt emerging industry trends; Guide others to evaluate, develop, customize, install, and implement systems; Mentor others in working with vendors to respond to production problems and implement immediate resolution efforts across technology areas; Develop and execute against solution strategies and business plans; Maintain and administer computer and data networks and related computing environment including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and configurations.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a computer systems engineer/architect, systems analyst or administrator, software engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years in providing middleware technology solutions in airlines industry domain using tcServer/tomcat, Apache, IBM MQ, WebLogic and WebSphere, and working on certificate management (including trustors, JKS, PKI, CA, Cert, and SSL) and process management (including incidents, problems and change management); 3 years with automation using NodeJS, Python and Shell Script; and 2 years mentoring a team in middleware technologies.
