As a Systems Integration Engineer for a derivative military product, you will have the opportunity to interface with the customer while working with the legacy military turbomachinery design team and the Advanced Design Systems organization to upgrade and assess the design for a new product and mission.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the main point of contact for the program systems teams and customers to maintain consistency between the turbomachinery team and the advanced design teams.
- Collaborate between both Systems teams, ensuring designers have the inputs needed to complete their analyses.
- Attend Program Tech Reviews, feeding appropriate information between the systems team and the turbomachinery design engineers.
- Collaborate with Legacy program Systems team and model leader to drive consistency across the common features of the product.
Tracking and Reporting:
- Track turbomachinery efforts, including design inputs, milestones and status updates to Systems and Customers.
- Act as Earned Value Management Cost Account Manager (EVM CAM) for the Turbomachinery by collecting status, tracking hardware spends, reporting to Systems and the customer.
Design and Testing:
- Drive design milestones for Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Detailed Design Reviews (DDR).
- Drive test assessments and support testing as appropriate for turbomachinery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience related to turbomachinery design, testing, or systems engineering
- Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship
