Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking to hire an experienced Analog and Power Supply Engineer who will be involved in the design, development, and test of complex RF / Microwave subassemblies at our campus in Chelmsford, MA. In this position you will have the opportunity to architect and design low noise analog Radio Frequency systems, DC-DC power supplies and LDO power supplies. Design and develop RF analog circuitry used in high frequency and low noise applications. Design and develop high efficiency DC-DC switchers and low noise LDO power supplies. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, simulation, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF and power supply hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of low noise amplifiers, low noise analog discrete circuits, analog to digital converters (ADC) and digital to analog converters (DAC) circuits. Develops and allocates RF system, subsystem, and power supply functional and performance requirements. Performs system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.

The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshires White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north.

It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern, New Hampshire.
Basic Qualifications:
-BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
-Five years of directly relevant engineering experience is required.
-Firm understanding Analog and Power Supply design and theory is required.
-Effective communication and organizational skills are required.
-Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance and be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:
-Experience with performing analog circuit simulations using tools such as Spice, LTSpice and LTPowerCAD.

-Experience with performing schematic capture using software tools such as OrCad and/or Xpedition.

-Knowledge of board layout best practices for low noise analog RF circuits and power supplies.

-Experience with performing lab testing and debug of RF analog circuitry on circuit card assemblies (CCA) using bench supplies, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.

-Knowledgeable in the trade-offs between switching and LDO power supplies.

-Experience with creating a power tree and maintaining power analysis throughout the system.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
