The Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department is seeking Staff Systems Engineer to join our team and develop these technologies into high-performance computing systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Plan and support the core functions and ensure the project team has qualified staff to execute the program core functions.

  • Support close out program reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.

  • Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.

  • Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle.

  • Oversee configuration management of the overall Program Baseline

  • Serve as the Logistics and Supportability Interface ensuring that all applicable specialty engineering disciplines horizontally integrate across applicable phases of the program lifecycle.

  • Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).

  • Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.

  • Oversee the establishment and execution of the program lifecycle and work products.

  • Support the transition of the project to the operations, maintenance, and sustainment stakeholders.

  • Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.

  • Align measurement objectives and activities to meet program performance goals and objectives.

This position will serve on-site in Linthicum / Annapolis Junction, MD.

This position can be filled at the Staff Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years of experience, a Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 9 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated Model Based Systems Engineering Experience (SysML).

  • Demonstrated Experience working with CAMEO.

  • Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification.

  • Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.

  • Experience in systems development, integration, and test.

  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

  • Clearance: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customers requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph.

  • STEM degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar.

  • Professional certifications, such as INCOSE CSEP/ESEP.

  • Demonstrated experience managing System Requirements and management tools, such as CAMEO.

  • Knowledge of ASIC design, Signal Processing, and/or IC Device Fabrication.

  • Experience with Systems Development Lifecycle, Focus on CDR through Testing.

  • Experience with overseeing Integration and Test, specifically with Requirement Verification and Validation.

Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
