$77.13-$82.13/Hour
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical components for hull structures, armor systems, hatches, access panels, and guards across a wide portfolio of vehicle platforms.
Support end-to-end hardware development from conceptual CAD modeling to prototype build, testing, and production integration.
Execute detailed hardware design including welded assemblies, mechanisms, latches, and seals in support of subsystem and system-level integration.
Operate within cross-functional teams to balance technical requirements, cost, and schedule.
Collaborate with design, drafting, and manufacturing teams to release accurate models, drawings, and production documentation.
Provide hands-on support for fabrication, prototype assembly, and integration activities.
Assist in the root cause and corrective action (RCCA) process to resolve technical issues during testing or production.
Participate in design reviews and ensure adherence to engineering and quality standards including GD&T practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in vehicle-level mechanical design and hardware development.
Experience taking designs from concept to physical hardware and integrating them into full vehicle systems.
Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficiency in CAD modeling; experience with Siemens NX and/or Creo preferred.
Familiarity with Teamcenter PLM systems is desired.
Experience in designing structural weldments and mechanisms such as latches, hinges, springs, and sealing components is preferred.
Experience in RCCA processes and manufacturing support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work onsite full-time and travel as needed.
Willingness to work up to 10 overtime.
