Position SummaryJob Type: Full-Time; Consultant (12-month assignment)
Location: Warner Robins, GA 31088
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $37.89 – $47.37 per hour
As a Support Engineering Data Specialist, you’ll develop and manage the technical data and publications that keep aerospace systems operating efficiently. From authoring flight manuals to identifying data inconsistencies and leading documentation updates, you’ll be a key contributor to aircraft supportability.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
What Youll DoDevelop technical publication content for aircraft systems and components, including flight manuals, illustrated parts breakdowns, and maintenance procedures
Analyze system support data and assist in recommendations for maintenance planning and logistics support
Collect and validate source data to ensure technical accuracy and supportability
Update documentation based on engineering changes, equipment modifications, and customer feedback
Provide detailed spanup for artwork and diagrams
Identify and correct inconsistencies and gaps in source data
Support customer reviews and incorporate feedback into documentation
Conduct peer reviews for technical accuracy and formatting standards
Utilize software tools including XML, MS Office, and Contenta
Required QualificationsProficiency in eXtensible Markup Language (XML)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience with aerospace technical publications or maintenance documentation
Familiarity with Contenta or similar content management systems
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance data
Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in aerospace support engineering or logistics data analysis
Understanding of military or commercial aircraft systems
Knowledge of maintenance task analysis and spares provisioning requirements
Familiarity with S1000D or other structured documentation standards
