Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a
System Engineer - Avionic Joint Team (AJT) Warton (d/f/m)
The jobholder will be part of the Avionic Joint Team (AJT) in Warton (UK) working on Interface Control Document and related artefacts. The advertised position requires a secondment/transfer to the UK for a period of at least 3 years with the opportunity of extension.
The AJT is a multinational design team with staff drawn from the Eurofighter Partner Companies. It operates under Eurofighter GmbH process and control with BAE SYSTEMS PLC governance.
Its prime purpose is to manage the design and development, including the integration and certification, of the Eurofighter Typhoon Avionic System, plus the avionics overall integration with the other aircraft systems, such that the Avionics System meets the required performance effectively, and within the given timescales and costs.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Management of the Avionic System Interface Control Document across all programmes
Coordination of all interface changes with the involved subsystems teams and subsequent development levels
Change management of all Avionic System data messages
Management of Transaction Table document
Support to the defintion of future data transfer standards
Support of improvement initiatives
Desired skills and qualifications
Master degree in Engineering
Verifiable work experience (3 to 5 years)
Basic knowledge of system engineering standards (ARP 4754a, Incose),
Basic knowledge of data buses and relevant standards (e.g. MIL-STD, MIL-STD-1760, ARINC 429, Ethernet)
Practical experience of Interface Defintion Tools
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
