Lockheed Martin Space in Englewood, CO is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer. In this position, you will provide overall systems engineering support to the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry Flight Test Projects team. Reentry Flight Test Projects is responsible for development, build, test, and delivery of advanced instrumented Reentry Bodies (RBs). Responsibilities within this group will consist of both project engineering and systems engineering related efforts including but not limited to requirements development and product verification, cost and schedule performance, conducting systems engineering design reviews, and coordination with multiple disciplines to achieve project milestones including design (mechanical, electrical, RF & Software), flight sciences, Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T), external contractors as well as the Navy customer. The candidate will work in a support role under the direction of a team lead responsible for a flight test project. Occasional travel may be required.

Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or higher degree from an accredited college with emphasis in engineering or related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Materials Science, etc.)

Ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
-Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines

-Cost, schedule, and technical execution

-Active DoD Top Secret clearance.

-MATLAB, Simulink knowledge


-Exposure to JIRA, Confluence and agile project development concepts.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and/or people skills are required as this position requires frequent briefings to senior leadership as well as the Navy customer

• Willing to work independently as well as with oversight to oversee the completion of Flight Science and Flight Test Integration product coordination from initial design to final product delivery.

• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare reports, graphs, and visual presentation aids, perform measurements, and interpret data.

• Must be detailed orientated an able to multitask consecutive projects simultaneously within project timelines

• Must be able to work independently and in a small team environment.

• High level of accountability

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
