Summary: Seeking a Systems Safety Engineer with expertise in ARP-4761 and MIL-STD-882 for safety analysis and development in aircraft systems.
Must have experience with software safety standards across the full development lifecycle
Familiarity with SAE ARP-4761 and ARP-4754, or MIL-STD-882 required
Direct experience in SAE ARP4761 analyses such as AFHA/SFHAs, PASA, PSSA, ASA, SSA, PRA, ZSA, CMA
Direct experience in MIL-STD-882 analyses like PHA, O&SHA, HHA, SHA/SSHA
Experience or training in MBSE and MBSA desired
Technical understanding of aircraft systems required
Bachelors degree in STEM field required; advanced degrees considered as additional experience
Preferred Skills:
Operational understanding of aircraft systems highly desirable
2+ years of experience on structured safety program processes for aircraft/system development
Responsibilities:
Verify System Safety requirements to ensure design integrity
Develop fault management techniques for system hardware/software
Conduct hazard analyses and recommend actions to minimize hazards
Perform Safety Risk Analysis and provide validation/verification feedback
