This role involves broad responsibilities related to Avionics Hardware, Technical Subcontract Management, requirements verification, and hardware integration for the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP). This is an interesting and exciting opportunity to work with an experienced team of leaders and professionals at a quickly growing site.

As a Systems Engineer on the Mission Systems team, the candidate will be asked to support critical issues that impact the technical integrity of the program. Help the program ensure technical success by reviewing program and supplier progress and development.
A successful candidate will have technical design experience, program/project leadership experience, and the drive to accomplish great things on an awesome team.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (The anticipated work schedule is on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, subject to management change)
Position Responsibilities:
Technical oversight of supplier’s sub-contract ensuring on time execution and deliverables that meet specification
Avionics Hardware Integration
Develop and release Supplier Statements of Work, and Technical Engineering Design Documentation
Identify, monitor, and develop mitigation plans for Risks, Issues, and Opportunities
Performing system requirements, decomposition and allocation
System architecture, design, and synthesis development
Manages the system and subsystem level requirements
Performs System functional analysis
Supports system integration and testing
Leads system verification and validation
Lead, coordinate, coach and assist other team members
Develop basis of estimates to support proposal activities
Develop and present metrics showing execution to plan
Security Clearance / Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
5 or more years of related job experience

Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience, 13 years related work experience, etc.).
Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience, 18 years related work experience, etc.).
