Summary:
Lead and support requirements definition, decomposition, and allocation from aircraft-level to system and item levels.
Develop and maintain functional and logical system architectures.
Support and ensure Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and Common Mode Analyses (CMA) align with safety objectives.
Guide item-level design and implementation to ensure traceability to all system-level requirements (DRO, SRO, SCD).
Develop plans and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities across the V-model, including item verification, system integration, and aircraft-level verification.
Support safety analyses (SSA, FMEA/FMES) and ensure compliance with DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, and ARP4761.
Lead technical discussions across software and hardware teams throughout design and test phases.
Provide documentation and technical support for FAA/EASA certification efforts.
Participate in design reviews, audits, and technical interchange meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Bachelors degree and 9+ years of experience, Masters degree with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of experience.
9+ years of experience in the systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace, automotive, or other complex system domains.
Extensive hands-on experience with V-Diagram processes (requirements, design, implementation, verification, validation).
Proficiency in safety assessments (FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES).
Familiarity with certification frameworks including ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills; ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
