The Flight Deck Crew Operations Engineer supports commercial airplane programs focused on Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance systems, with an emphasis on enhancing runway safety. This role involves developing functional requirements, defining concepts of operations, conducting functional hazard assessments, and supporting pilot evaluations through planning and data analysis. The engineer collaborates with pilots, regulators, suppliers, and avionics teams to advance system capabilities toward aircraft implementation. Additionally, the role leads system-level integration, analysis, and lifecycle activities to ensure performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

* Support Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance system development across commercial airplane programs.
* Write functional requirements and define concepts of operations.
* Perform functional hazard assessments and support system safety activities.
* Plan and execute pilot evaluations and analyze resulting data.
* Collaborate with pilots, regulators, suppliers, and avionics teams for system integration.
* Lead system-of-systems planning, design, development, and verification activities.
* Evaluate operational needs to define system performance requirements and ensure interface compatibility.
* Conduct system architecture and optimization analyses.
* Lead analyses for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, and regulatory compliance.
