Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

to define the digital End to End workflows and data models for Process Methods & Tools in Engineering.
The mission of the Digital Engineering Team is to boost effective real time collaboration across organisations, sites, partners and suppliers through lean processes and joint development platforms to meet the program targets
We orchestrate the digital transformation within the perimeter of Engineering with a 1st priority on the various DDMS initiatives.
The successful applicant will define, model and optimize end 2 end workflows and data models between the different engineering disciplines and interact with the enterprise architecture team.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Capture stakeholder requirements for engineering process, method and tools

• Model “as is” end to end data workflows and analyse them for process improvement

• Re-design workflows following lean principles for the “to be” digital thread

• Perform integrated architecture maturity gate reviews with IT implementation teams

• Demonstrate compliance of architecture with requirements

• Specify, analyse, model and optimize the workflows and data model for engineering end to end processes

Desired skills and qualifications

• Master´s degree in Information Technology, Communication Technology or comparable

• Several years of work experience in the field of System Engineering

• Experience in continuous improvement and change management (e.g. Lean / Six Sigma, Airbus LBIP, DRIVER)

• Knowledge of overall aircraft development life cycle including mechanical, electrical, overall systems engineering, equipment, software, flight physics, configuration management (ARP 4754, DO-178). Demonstrated excellence in one of the above process domains.

• Good knowledge in overall model based systems modelling of large and complex systems, associated methods and tools (Archimate, BPMN knowledge.

• Good knowledge of overall lifecycle processes beyond engineering, in particular production and in-service (CSEP or comparable)

• Good knowledge of PLM / PDM concepts

• Good knowledge in digital transformation concepts and technologies (Industry 4.0, DevOps, IOT, Digital Twin, Digital Thread)

• Good knowledge of military working environment and impact on digitalisation (e.g. security, export control, partner / supplier relationships, national customer needs)

• Working experience in an agile / scrum team

• Knowledge of tools such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Jira, Confluence, DOORS

• Fluency in English &43; nice to have German, Spanish and/or French skills
