Candidate will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on host computers, network and communications devices, and associated electronics.
Candidate will report and document all hardware system actions related to equipment malfunctions, modifications, removal, installation, fault isolation, and repair.

Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance support across multiple external interfaces over a robust multi-tiered network, host computers, communications devices, and associated electronics, discrepancy report work off and resolution, training/mentoring, trending, procedure development, data collection, fault isolation, and performing real-time manual actions to restore system capabilities.

Assistance in development of troubleshooting/recovery plans and execution of associated management and customer briefs may also be required.

Participation in corrective maintenance will require remove/replace, repair, and testing failed hardware.

Candidate will work closely with customers to provide support to development activities, installation efforts, and special test configurations.

Position may require flexible work schedule to provide coverage for on-site customer requirements, to include possibility of weekend work requirements.

Day-to-day duties will include:

- Firm understanding of OSI Layer 1,2 troubleshooting
- Attend debriefings to aid in the rapid identification of emerging issues that require company intervention to avoid mission system downtime

- Liaison with Enterprise Services to resolve issues with external entity support equipment, including network devices, video-teleconferencing (VTC) suites, phones, and Communication Security (COMSEC) appliances

- Initiate Action Requests (AR): Identify unique operational problems that require technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions to resolve. Provide on-site assistance to company and customer personnel

- Lead and track multiple engineering discipline Action Request (AR) work efforts and provide periodic status to Customer and Program Management

- Document all unusual operational / maintenance problems to ensure the company is apprised of and can identify emerging failure trends

- Must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all levels

- Must have a minimum of a Tier 1 Helpdesk understanding of Information Technology equipment: including cabling, network devices configuration, routing/access-control, and server administration

Basic Qualifications:
• Top Secret Clearance with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

• Associate degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

• Experience working as an IT Help Desk Technician or in a similar customer support role

• Experience diagnosing and resolving a variety of technical issues
Desired Skills:
- Tech savvy, with experience working in a tech-related field

- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills to maintain system configurations and network diagrams

- Current DoD Directive 8140/8570 IAT or IAM Level I Certification (A+, Network+, Security+, etc.)

- Understanding of Cisco ASA firewall concepts.

- Experience configuring and maintaining Cross-Domain Solutions

- Network administration experience supporting classified environments

- Experience configuring and maintaining TACLANE/HAIPE equipment

- Experience with centralized ticketing/work order systems; ie. Jira, Help Scout, Solarwinds Service Desk

- Experience in applying DISA STIGs for networking equipment and resolving security vulnerabilities

- Experience with network monitoring protocols that include SNMP and NetFlow

- Experience with LAN/WAN, L2/L3 Switching Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, IS-IS)

- Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, NFS, DHCP, DNS, FTP, Telnet and SSH

- Certifications in Juniper, Palo Alto Networks or Cisco technologies

- Familiarity with network automation with Ansible or similar platforms

- Working knowledge & troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMWare

- Be self-motivated, responsible, accountable, highly reliable, and focused on mission success

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
