Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Hardware Design / System Engineer to deliver results in the Mission Systems organization. This particular position will be responsible for supporting efforts related to designing next generation Mission Computers and Processors to be integrated into new and existing releases of airframes such as the F16, F35 and other cutting edge aircraft.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with the development of Advanced Processing systems / subsystems. This is a senior position that requires a highly motivated individual with proven exemplary communication skills as well as customer interface experience. It is not unusual to have multiple concurrent responsibilities, so being highly organized and having a follow-through demeanor is critical. This role will be expected to perform the following duties for the Mission Systems organization:
• Support overall organizational process compliance including management and coordination of the Hardware Development Process Implementation, starting with requirement derivation and through product integration into production
• Support product development activities, including requirement derivation and technical guidance
• Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with product development, and ensuring cost and schedule commitments are met
• Utilize Digital Transformation, including model based engineering, test automation, and Agile development processes in order to define requirements and develop product capabilities

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Knowledge of the full product development cycle
• Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance
• Ability to obtain a security clearance to at least the Secret level.
Desired Skills:
• DOD customer experience
• Experience with designing / developing / integrating advanced processing systems
• Experience working in classified environments
• Drive execution through a Digital Engineering environment, leveraging Model-Based System Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile approaches

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
