Prime Air is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to help us optimize and grow our infrastructure. The Business Operations, Systems and Support team within Prime Air is responsible for the tools that the organization uses to achieve this goal. Our solutions include PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), collaboration platforms, vehicle maintenance, and the data infrastructure for the Prime Air organization. We’re a diverse group that combines product managers, software developers, and engineers to deliver across a wide range of technical challenges. Our services operate at scale and support workloads critical to safety, so a passion and discipline around operational excellence is key.


Key job responsibilities
* Drive continual improvement in systems operations through tool building and automation
* Drive root cause analyses
* Scale our services: Lead the planning, forecasting, and technical approaches to operating at peak scale
* Drive projects and report on their progress
* Report on the health of our services at an executive level
* Collaborate with and learn from world-class leaders to meet world-class challenges, every day
* Work in an environment where operational excellence is truly the first priority, and where the degree of automation is above bar

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Job Requirements:
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience building services using AWS products
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Linux based systems administration experience.- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Advanced knowledge of configuration management systems, such as: Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
