We are recruiting for a Systems Engineer to be part of the highly innovative Simulation System Test (SST) organization, responsible for developing and maintaining Aviation Simulation Systems utilized for systems development from concept design through production and delivery.

What You Will Be Doing
This position is for the Systems Engineering Lead of the Fort Worth Man-in-the-Loop (FW MITL) project. You will lead a team of systems engineers performing the full systems engineering lifecycle in the development of laboratories and simulators in support of F-35 and ADP efforts.

Within SST resides an extensive selection of simulators and software/systems integration test capabilities. Our products are used to advance Avionic systems development, strengthen pilot familiarization, assess human factors, evaluate aircraft control laws, improve mission study effectiveness, provide test capabilities required for contract verification, and provide integration testing and verification capabilities for aircraft systems and software.

Who You Are
You should bring to the table your experience gained while pursuing a science, technology, engineering, or math degree with a desire to learn and take on new and exciting opportunities. This position will offer an opportunity to apply system engineering techniques to guide the direction of products to design, develop, test, and support Shared Simulation Software products for multiple programs.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.



This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in STEM area (Aeronautical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics preferred)

- Experience working through the Systems Engineering lifecycle to include requirements analysis and/or verification/validation/test.

- Experience working with cross collaboration with multiple engineering teams.
Desired Skills:
- Experience applying SysML to Systems Engineering efforts and working with modern SysML tools (i.e., Rhapsody, Cameo).

- Experience in development of System Requirements and Allocation to subsystems.

- Experience in development and execution of System Test Procedures

- Experience with program and design review process (SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.).

- Familiarity with DOORS and JIRA

- Familiarity with Change Request (CR), Requirement, Verification, and Review life cycles (JWP, WPE, etc.)

- Familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems.

- Experience developing model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models that includes development of Use Cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.

- Familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems.

- Familiarity with laboratory and associated component development.


- Demonstrated experience in leadership of small teams (1-5 people)

- Experience in delivering products to external customers

- Working knowledge of EVMS and implications to project decision making.

- Experience in development of detail System Design

- Strong oral written communication skills

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
