**Employment for this position is contingent upon contract award with a target plan for October/November 2023. Contract award is now anticipated sometime during Q1 2024**

This position will work at the customer site, Systems Engineering and Integration Office.

The candidate will be responsible for performing specific technical tasks related to the subject area of systems engineering and integration, including but not limited to: Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems; Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal; Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications; Participate in and support to engineering review boards, requirements review and definition, schedule updates, Concept of Operations review and hands-on integration. The candidate will act as a subject matter expert and be able to work through integration efforts with other segments at the facility and across the enterprise.

The selected candidate will work as part of a multi-contractor system integrator and Configuration Management (CM ) at the customer site. Working at the customer facility requires exceptional communication and the ability to work a variety of efforts in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. The position requires an effective and accurate exchange of information across a multi-location enterprise, with customer visibility into the team’s actions and responses. You will work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-contractor team and demonstrate initiative as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly; US Citizenship required
• Experience in system engineering, integration, and test
• Strong organizational and project management skills

• Familiarity with national systems missions and concepts to integrate new systems, missions, and processes into the day-to-day activities.
• Experience working as a systems engineer on a large-scale program.
• Experience in technical coordination and evaluation of end-user/operational needs and translation to formal requirements and identifying efficiencies and leading/participating in engineering process improvement activities.
• Experience in space protection and flight safety
• Strategic thinking with a bias towards delivering impactful results.
• Understanding of how strategic initiatives align with short- and long-term customer strategies.
• Have a proficient communicator to all skill levels, be able to respond effectively to changing situations, and be able to properly prioritize, status, and work multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated and able to work with the ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision necessary, adaptable to a wide variety of tasks.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience such as Cameo, or Rhapsody.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
