This position is opened in the &34;Avionics and Systems Architecture&34; Department within the Design Office Directorate. You will work in a transnational department, composed mainly of Avionics Architects spread over different civil and military helicopters projects, in close cooperation with others Architects and be interfaced with avionics, vehicle, projects, safety, certification, and customers support stakeholders.

The main missions of the Avionics and Systems Architecture department are, among others, to:

- Anticipate future needs and possible avionics solutions, from concept analysis up to feasibility during Research and Pre-Dev stages,

- To ensure retrofit & upgrades of our fleet in service,

- To keep our avionics up-to-date (obsolescence solving, avionics improvements, introduction of new capabilities/features), in the frame of future developments,

- To define, develop and certify the most effective avionics solutions,

- To participate to avionics strategy at system level,

- To contribute to technology roadmaps,

- To contribute to Systems Engineering set-up for Avionics (process, methods & tools) and

- To manage transverse functions


Within the Avionics and System Architecture Department, and as Systems Engineering and MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineer) Leader, you will be responsible to:

- Mature & deploy a common MBSE understanding and common frameworks inside Airbus Helicopters for architecting and developing in the right way (effective & efficient) our products.

- Support innovative concepts to capture customers&39; needs, to capture discipline knowledge, specify & define architecture  from the early stage to 3D and assess architecture in a more systematic way (in particular through operability, safety, security and performance standpoints). You will support digitalization applying semantic web techniques to maintain a good data continuity between product, process, methods & tools, based on ontology and also promote the usage of AI in such discipline (Advanced MBSE, MBE)

- Contribute to Systems Architecture developments made by several activities (e.g. from overall Specification, architecture trade-off, interfaces management, etc …)

- Support to certification/qualification audits.
- Ensure synchronization with suppliers and Avionics Systems stakeholders regarding MBSE activities,
- Promote the usage of architecture standards (ie: MOSA) and leading the application of military architecture framework like “UAF” or more traditional model like “SECAM”
- Promoting into Avionics Architects Department, the extended use of state-of-the art MBSE methodologies on legacy and emerging Programs and monitoring the deployment within Avionics Architecture System domain, in particular, on the MBSE activities benefiting to Product Architecture performances, from Requirements establishment until in cycle, but also during design & intermediate phases to ultimate V&V process
- Defining and maintaining harmonized MBSE & Architecture framework (supporting out of cycle and in cycle development phase) in close collaboration with all DDMS streams and in coherence with programs & demonstrators roadmaps
- Modelling environment preparation for Avionics architecture development projects,
- Model consistency reviews/audits,
- Models Configuration management for the overall Avionics Systems

As candidate, you will be able to demonstrate on top of knowledge in Avionics and Systems Architecture (5 years at least), some or all of the following skills and competencies:
- A/C or H/C system development experience, 
- Project management experience,
- Good leadership, team working  & Communication,
- Systems Engineering and MBSE experience,
- Modelling & Simulation experience (including technics, standards as SysML, UML, BPMN),
- Operational & functional analysis,

Education:

Engineer in Avionics, or Electronics or Systems Engineering

Languages:

Fluent in French and English
