Job Description SummaryThe PSE Platform Engineer is responsible to deliver maximum customer value by driving customer responsiveness and diagnostics while reducing direct operating costs of the T700 Turboshaft engine family. The PSE Platform Engineer will work as a part of a team providing commercial rotorcraft support for T700 International Operators. In this role you will be the T700 International Platform PSE Team member working with the Program managers and the Rotorcraft & Turboprop Engineering (RTP) Model Platform leaders. The PSE International Platform Engineer will be the point of contact for the T700 International Operators addressing engine issues the fleet is experiencing while maintaining continued airworthiness of engines and maintaining the outstanding customer service GE Aviation is noted for.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assure the airworthiness and safety of the assigned fielded T700 International turboshaft platforms.
  • Provide technical assistance to International operators, maintainers, and field service engineers in troubleshooting T700 Turboshaft engine issues.
  • Further enhance the reputation of GE and the product in the field through superior technical support.
  • Participate as an active member on the T700 Platform team working with Program Managers, Customer Support Managers, and RTP Platform Leaders.
  • Participate in NPI programs, representing the voice of the end customers, to enhance the performance, durability, maintainability, cost effectivity, and customer satisfaction for T700 Turboshaft platforms. 
  • Responsible for the T700 engine maintenance manuals and Depot manuals.   Author both manual corrections/revisions along.
  • Track fleet metrics, prepare presentations, and conduct reviews on the status of the fleet reliability metrics with internal and external International customers for assigned T700 Platforms.
  • T700 International Platforms TOW focal.  Develop programs with the goal to increase Engine TOW for operators.
  • Participate in field event investigations for T700 Platforms.
  • Manage communication among internal organizations and International customers to ensure effective product support and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in developing technical procedures and technical solutions to address operator issues on the T700 Turboshaft Platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical environment, or an associate degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college and a minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical environment.
  • 3 years’ experience in engine systems, controls operability, performance or turbo machinery
  • Willingness to travel 20 of the time.

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.  GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
