TOPTP1 - Logistics & Transport Engineer

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Transport and Logistics Engineer (f/m) to join our ADS Transport and Logistics Engineering and Bids family, an organization dedicated to support and improve the Transport and Logistics Operational Business, transnationally based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing Transport and Logistics Improvement Solutions as well as Transport and Logistics new concept for future projects to come. As part of the ADS Transport and Logistics Engineering and Bids team, you will be involved in a transnational team (UK, FR, SP, GE)
Our mission is to ensure that we design and optimize the Trasnport and Logistics solutions either defined by existing processes and / or by designing new T&L concepts for future projects.

The person joining this team will deploy a combination of Project Management skills with string Transport and Logistics technical knowledge by driving activities such:

- design and implementation of optimized logistics solutions (Warehousing Logistics) to deliver material from Suppliers up to manufacturing areas (and also reverse flows)

- design innovative & sustainable T&L future solutions in order to secure optimal operational deployment (operational &61; running Transport and Logistics, including warehousing activities: reception, storage and dispatch to Point of Use / Point of Delivery)

- guarantee that any future concept designed (either an optimization of the existing solutions or a definition of the new ones is delivered on time, on cost....and fully aligned with operational and internal Customer’s requirement (Production, Logistics teams, Transportation, Customs, Finance, …)

- ensure that the concepts defined are in accordance with BMS (Business Management System) requirements, which is the system we manage where all the processes are defined to ensure that whomever is making use of them, it is done in a standardized way.

- manage Business & Customers’ requirements: the person will need to grant communication and transparency about the designed solutions with all internal stakeholders (the Program, the T&L operational teams, Finance, Customs, Industrial teams…)

- build cost estimations about the transport and logistics solutions / improvements that will optimize / contain the T&L costs

- participate actively in the standardization of any kind of initiative launched by the Transport and Logistics department boosting always a cost avoidance / saving mindset

- support the onsite team in Toulouse by acting as a focal point in front of Space Systems Local Programs and stakeholders to whichever is related to Transport and Logistics new solutions or optimization

Your challenges:
● Drive and Lead Transport and Logistics solutions (projects) for all ADS projects (Space Satellites, Spacecrafts, Military Aircrafts, UAVs, Connected Intelligence products, ….)
● Understand the Business and Customers’ needs (inputs) and design the solutions with such constraints
● Connect and communicate, being part of different Multi-Functional teams where Transport and Logistics voice is necessary to develop an industrial solution
● Grant sustainable T&L solutions
● Project Management and Project delivery On Time, On Cost and on Quality according to Customer’s expectations
● Understand and challenge the Transport and logistics existing operations in all steps: incoming and reception of goods, store goods, prepare documentation to export / dispatch material to the internal Customers / back to suppliers, milkrun activities, transportation (inbound / outbound and reverse flows).
● Capability to assess Warehouse needs (sqm, storage needs, …)
● Connect with Customs and Supply Chain departments, understand the industrial planning,…

Your profile:
● Min 5 years of experience in Transport and / or Logistics, with evidence on Project Management capabilities
● English: Fluent (this is the standard language used in the working environment)
● Technical expertise: SAP, Export Control Regulations, Customs, Finance,
● Project Management Skills

● Financial Basic Knowledge
