Job Description:

You will be leading team members to ensure a quality Industrialization package is provided to Production, on time and budget. Lead and train the Team members to work on process & design to reduce flow time and man-hours. Lead the Team to create digital instructions, plans, tooling and production processes to most efficiently produce all aircraft components. You will support Production activities in all aspects of the Manufacturing Engineering function as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES ? TECHNICAL

  • Responsible for ensuring a quality Industrialization package is provided to Production, on time and budget
  • Have an understanding of, and define, the responsibilities of all duties of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the

Manufacturing Engineer, and the Associate Manufacturing Engineer

  • Work in a collaborative process with Engineering, Production, Manufacturing and Program Management to achieve

goals and objectives. Oftentimes required to manage changes from Engineering or Production

  • Confers with management, Engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules,

and other considerations to facilitate production processes

  • Manage budget and ME cost

  • Regularly demonstrate initiative and the ability to be pro-active
  • Display a positive attitude and work ethic
  • Work closely with staff and supervision
  • Mentor employees with less experience
  • Accepts additional assignments/ projects as directed by supervision
  • Communicate effectively

RESPONSIBILITIES ? PROCEDURES

  • Propose process improvements to decrease costs & flow, specify design improvements to reduce manufacturing costs
  • Adhere to process and procedures
  • Institutes changes in the production processes and/or recommends adjustments

RESPONSIBILITIES ? LEADERSHIP

  • Responsible to ensure all employees are current in required training
  • Responsible for developing personnel
  • Resolving problems following the companies established Policies and Procedures
  • Ensures all evaluations are written and submitted in a timely manner to the department manager
  • Accountable for all work and performance of each employee reporting to them
Job Requirements:

EDUCATION

B.S. degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Lesser educational background with relevant experience will be considered*

· 2 years in Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering = 1 year towards degree requirement

· 4 years in Non-Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering = 1 year towards degree requirement

* related experience includes any of the following: experience in reviewing and understanding engineering drawings, interpreting 3D models in CATIA, aircraft manufacturing experience, aircraft technical writing

TECHNICAL

6+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Production Engineer or Design Engineer
