Role Summary
* The role provides technical design support within a dynamic laboratory test environment for a variety of programs across the company. The position contributes to the development, modification, and maintenance of engineering product definition, system layouts, fabrication instructions, and test documentation. The role supports cross-functional coordination to ensure designs meet requirements, comply with configuration standards, and integrate effectively with manufacturing, fabrication, and engineering partners. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* An AA degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* More than 2 years of experience with engineering and design software such as CAD or 3D packages, including CATIA, SolidWorks, or CREO.
* More than 3 years of experience working with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* The ability to relocate at your own expense if out of state.
* The ability to support onsite work at the work location. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience in test and evaluation engineering.
* A strong desire to work collaboratively and operate as a self-starter. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Participate in Integrated Product Teams to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
* Support Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review meetings.
* Coordinate closely with design, manufacturing, and fabrication teams.
* Manage drafting requirements and incorporate drawing changes to support business goals.
* Support the development, maintenance, or modification of systems, components, and installation designs to meet requirements and specifications.
* Review design requirements and modifications of mechanical and structural assemblies and installations.
* Review configuration management requirements for compliance prior to releasing laboratory test drawings.
* Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
