Test Bench Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The Role :

Airbus Protect supports the Airbus Commercial Aircraft Integration
Tests team in Filton. The main tasks to be performed for this position
are:

• Act as a Maintenance Focal Point for the Filton test benches, capturing new requirements and working towards continual improvement with the aim to reduce outstanding technical issues

• Providing Architecture Design Solutions/ Electrical Component electrical schematics and understanding the language behind it to meet the Requirements of the test bench

• Assessing modification requirements from design office/test team and developing a suitable solution

• Updating or creating new wiring diagrams and wiring lists

• Liaising with the onsite team or external supplier to implement/build the solution

• Supporting the test benches by troubleshooting electrical issues and investigate the issue and develop a solution

• Support the testers in carrying out certain tests with diagnostic equipment e.g., oscilloscopes, DVM&39;s, ARINC 429 test boxes, etc.

• Manage the re-commissioning of the test rig following any maintenance/modification.

• Ensure that technical documentation is updated/created and correct following maintenance or modification

Experience required:

• You have a university degree in Aerospace / Electrical Engineering

• You have at least 3 years of working experience in the field of Test means, Lab/Ground Testing or Test engineering

• You have good knowledge and/or experience with the following :

• Microsoft Visio

• Working with test rigs 

• Understanding of Electrical Design (ESSENTIAL) and Electrical Systems (Minimum basic electronic circuit design knowledge using relay logic, diodes, resistors, capacitors) 

• Autonomy to produce electrical and mechanical drawings, electrical schematics,

• Analysis of System performance, test reporting and investigations

• Definition of Instrumentation systems

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical & Ki CAD, Schaeffer Front Panel Designer Software is a plus

• Skills in Analysing Computer based systems behaviours (Python, C&43;&43;, Matlab, Labview, Databases) would also be a plus
