The Work
As a Test Engineer at our Syracuse facility, your work will be multifaceted. Youll provide essential test support for multiple programs, offering troubleshooting and process guidance to our represented workforce in both proactive and reactive situations.
Your responsibilities will include developing and updating test procedures based on Test Requirements, solving technical issues with Special Test Equipment (STE), and addressing challenges with the Unit Under Test (tactical/customer equipment). Additionally, youll actively participate in technical reviews, identify opportunities for process improvement, and collaborate with the Engineering & Technology organization to implement Design For Test concepts. You will be the driving force for continuous improvement in test methods and products under test and will investigate issues to determine root causes and corrective actions for complex challenges. In this role, you will lead and train test technicians and less experienced engineers, identify areas for cost and cycle time reduction, and work with the team to implement solutions. Your ability to generate test-ready documentation for use on the production floor and your systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills will be critical to your success. Forward-thinking problem solving is paramount to avoid recurring issues. Additionally, your experience in transitioning development programs into production will be highly valuable. You must have the ability to drive projects to closure and lead functional and multi-functional teams to develop and meet goals and objectives consistent with our business objectives.

• You hold a bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• You have a proven track record in test engineering and troubleshooting.
• Your problem-solving skills are exceptional, whether addressing issues proactively or reactively.
• You excel in developing and updating test procedures based on Test Requirements.
• You have the technical expertise to solve technical issues with Special Test Equipment and Unit Under Test.
• Your experience includes participating in technical reviews and identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Collaboration comes naturally to you, allowing you to work effectively with the Engineering & Technology organization.
• You are dedicated to the concept of continuous improvement in test methods and products.
• Investigating complex issues and implementing corrective actions is a strength.
• Your leadership and training skills are evident in your ability to guide and mentor team members.
• You are adept at identifying areas for cost and cycle time reduction and implementing effective solutions.
A level 4 employee is typically senior-career and has 7 to 9+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
-ATE/STE Test and Troubleshooting
-Digital Test and Troubleshooting
-Analyze data to resolve complex problems.
-Communication skills (written & verbal) to
communicate with the team and Management.
-Automated Test Methods
-Technical Writing for Procedures (test &
troubleshooting)
-Experience with the Solumina Factory Management System.
-Create Planning for product test flow.
-Understand and Follow Configuration
Management practices (CM)
-Self Starter (minimum supervision)
-Team Player (able to work in a diverse work
force)
-Effectively Lead Projects.
-Candidate must be able to obtain an Interim
DoD secret security clearance prior to starting
this position. Obtaining a secret security clearance requires US citizenship.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
