The Role
As a Test Equipment Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Ontic’s UK MRO Operations, ensuring hydraulic, pneumatic and associated test equipment is reliable, compliant and fit for purpose. You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical support, maintenance and fault resolution of both current and future test equipment, helping to keep assembly and test operations running efficiently and safely
Key responsibilities include:
Fault finding, repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment
Providing technical support to internal stakeholders and liaising with external suppliers
Defining, implementing and carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities
Developing preventative maintenance schedules and tracking equipment performance against KPIs
Supporting the design and maintenance of interfaces for units under test
Providing operator training on test equipment use and best practice
Supporting oil cleanliness laboratory activities
Ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory and company requirements, including health & safety
About You

You’ll be a confident and capable engineer with a strong background in test equipment support, ideally within an aerospace MRO environment.
You’ll bring:
A degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline, or significant relevant industry experience
Proven experience supporting test equipment in an MRO or regulated engineering environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Confidence using MS Office and ERP systems
A flexible approach, with the ability to work outside core hours and travel when required
Aerospace experience is highly desirable, but not essential for the right candidate.
