Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) VC-25B (747-8) Certification Integrated Product Team (IPT) is seeking a VC-25B Certification Manager to help lead the certification program for Systems Engineering in San Antonio, TX. The VC-25B is a Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) program, the scope of work encompasses aspects of both FAA and military certification. The individual in this role will lead a team who will coordinate and collaborate with the Regulatory Administration/ODA team as well as the program IPTs within Boeing and the United States Air Force (USAF) Program Office.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams resulting in resolution of technical issues.
  • Guide program through planning and execution of conformity in partnership with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory administration.
  • Coordinate and partner with the FAA and USAF Program Office on regulatory strategies and issues.
  • Develop strategic action plans for changes to certification processes and execute those plans through completion.
  • Own, manage and have technical aptitude to enable execution of certification process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.).
  • Ensure proper coordination across products, platforms, and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidance.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.  Some travel may be required.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience leading teams on complex projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • FAA certification experience.
  • Military airworthiness experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Project Management experience.
