The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.
Job Summary
Responsible for direct contribution to development of technical solutions, software test frameworks, test plans, test scenarios, test applications and test products. Will collaborate with development teams. Exemplifies the DRS Way by promoting a culture of integrity, accountability, results driven, collaborative relationships and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manually execute verification testing on a variety of software products (embedded software, software applications, and integrated systems).
- Analyze system and software requirements to determine feasibility of verification and validation within time and cost constraints.
- Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document software test cases for the purpose of systems or subsystem verification.
- Provide technical guidance to include concept development and peer/design review participation.
- Support verification testing, transition to production, and field issue resolution.
- Provide process compliance and tailoring guidance.
- Support environment of collaboration with developers and Product Owners
- Develop/maintain test tools and multiple test bed environments.
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education/experience in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of related experience, preferably in a government contracts environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Must have proven technical experience with utilizing Linux and Windows Operating Systems in a development/test environment.
- Must be a self-starter comfortable with taking ownership for ensuring the quality of products/systems under test.
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Additional Desired Experience:
- Candidates with previous experience utilizing fundamental Software Design Lifecycle Management (SDLC) practices in a Systems or Test Engineering role will be strongly preferred.
- Candidates who have previous experience testing cyber architectures, embedded software, and/or integrated systems will be strongly preferred.
- Candidates with a deep understanding of networking, including switching, routing, VLANs, and voice/video protocols will be strongly preferred.
- Candidates who have previous experience utilizing black box testing practices and methodologies will be preferred.
