Job title: Weights & Mass Properties Engineer

Job Summary The candidate will work as a Weights & Mass Properties Engineer responsible for managing and analyzing an aircrafts mass properties to ensure optimal flight performance and compliance with military standards. They will utilize various tools such as mass properties databases, CAD software, and Microsoft Excel to track weight changes and balance impacts due to design modifications. Even Simpler: The job is for an engineer who makes sure airplanes are balanced by keeping track of their weights using computer programs.

Skill Requirements Must-Have:

5+ years of experience with weights or mass properties engineering for aircraft
Experience using a mass properties database
Knowledge of SAWE Recommended Practice 7 & 8 or Mil-std-1374 mass properties weight control standards
Proficiency in Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS)
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related technical field

Preferred:

Advanced skills in managing large data sets in Microsoft Excel
Aircraft Weight and Balance Certification
Experience with NX and IPDM
Familiarity with military weight and balance handbooks

Pay Details: $70.00 to $85.00 per hour
