Position OverviewJob Type: Full-Time Consultant (9-month assignment)
Location: San Antonio, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $48.62 – $66.31 per hour
As a Technical Designer, you’ll lead the development, release, and management of complex electrical and mechanical design documentation. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to bring conceptual designs into detailed, manufacturable reality.
What Youll Be DoingDevelop and maintain electrical/mechanical drawings and engineering documentation that meet internal and external standards
Interpret and manage design requirements across multiple programs and systems
Use advanced design tools to maintain configuration control and ensure documentation accuracy
Prepare detailed layouts and modify existing designs to integrate new system elements
Lead efforts in product and part installation designs, from simple assemblies to complex systems
Validate engineering systems design and ensure functionality before deployment
Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to meet project goals
Provide guidance and direction to less experienced team members
Operate with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality, reliable output
Required QualificationsProven experience leading and executing electrical/mechanical design projects
Proficient in engineering design tools and document control systems
Strong understanding of configuration design control, system validation, and layout integration
Ability to manage and interpret complex requirements in a fast-paced engineering environment
Exceptional organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Must be eligible to obtain security clearance and customer access approval
(Note: Dual citizenship or prior citizenship in another country may affect eligibility)
Preferred QualificationsExperience working in aerospace or defense sectors
Prior success in managing vendor and cross-functional collaboration
Familiarity with NEO training protocols and documentation for secure facilities
